Aisbois syntyi tarpeesta antaa hukkaan menevälle materiaalille uusi elämä. Hyödynnämme esimerkiksi massiivipuutuotteiden tuotannossa syntyviä hukkapaloja ja hylkytuotteita. Vastaavaa materiaalia syntyy ja poltetaan suomessa kymmeniä tuhansia kuutioita vuosittain - vaikka se olisi täysin hyödynnettävissä materiaalina.
Haluamme olla suunnannäyttäjiä kiertotalouden ja tuotemuotoilun risteyskohdassa – tuotteissamme hylätyn materiaalin potentiaali pääsee oikeuksiinsa.

Roots.
Aisbois was born out of a need to give new life to wasted materials. For example, we use for example scrap and rejected pieces from the production of mass timber products. Tens of thousands of cubic meters of such material are produced and burned in Finland every year, even though it could be fully utilized as a material.
We want to be pioneers at the intersection of the circular economy and product design – our products allow the potential of discarded materials to be realized.

Our main raw materials come from the side streams of Finnish industry – offcuts, rejected products, and other products unsuitable for their original use.
